Hello. I'm Nathaniel Daught, (28) a graphic designer, artist, Mac geek, and gamer. These are my ramblings, photos, links, and art because I sometimes have too much time on my hands... One would assume that you also have too much time on your hands because you are reading this blog. Enjoy.

For the first time since ShapeShifter (last updated Sep 12, 2007) there seems to be a good way to make and apply custom themes to Mac OS X.
“Flavours”
I’m hearing it may still be slightly risky to install prompting at least one OS X reinstall and may impact system performance especially on older Macs. I’m going to take the wait and see approach to see if the app continues to be supported and if the themes become less ugly. The community over at MacThemes is checking it out.
I’ve blogged a bit about themes over the past few years, so I thought I’d keep with the tradition.
Now that I’ve upgraded to a new MacBook Pro (arriving Friday), this is next on my upgrade list before the end of the year…
The new MacBook Pro with Retina Display.
Top of my Wish List. My old 2008 MacBook Pro is feeling it’s age.

Digitals by Chris Crutchfield.
This is a well done musical short film about the modern age of social networking notifications. He’s even provided the music as an iPhone ringtone.

One day I got an email, an sms, a phone call, a Facebook message and two tweets all within about 5 seconds of one another. This video is a re-manifestation of my brain’s interpretation of that event. #trustory

Cave Story+ PC/Mac Trailer.
This is a little game that I’ve fallen in love with after buying it as part of the Humble Indie Bundle #4 (also available via Steam & Mac AppStore for $10 or under). It’s like a mash-up of great classic 8 and 16-bit games like Metroid, Castlevania, and MegaMan. Aside from solid classic style platforming/shooting gameplay it has a lot of charm.
The “Plus” version of the game is a remaster of the original freeware game developed by Daisuke Amaya over 5 years in his free time (more info). The freeware version of the game can be downloaded here: CaveStory.org

Ladies and gents, fellow humans — presenting Pixelfari, a pixely, 8-bitty version of everyone’s favorite browser. Enjoy chunky fonts, blocky graphics, and a general sense of giddy inefficiency. Spearheaded by yours truly and developed by a very clever friend. Free+fun!
Twitterrific 4 for Mac has been released
I’ve discovered the iTunes iOS App update error (The information on this page is outdated.) can be caused by never quitting iTunes.
The new fix: Try quitting iTunes every once in a while. I’ve found I still get this error if I leave iTunes open and sleep my MacBook Pro overnight. Simply relaunching iTunes when you first wake your Mac might fix this error.
Enterprise-D 1:1 scale replica in Minecraft. I don’t play Minecraft, but this is crazy and I’m a big Star Trek fan.

I had used this method before but with a different lyrics fetching app. This is great for iPhone/iPod owners because you can easily see song lyrics by taping the currently playing track album cover.

I rearranged my work desk the other week to be more centric to my Mac as I have used the provided PC less and less. My old setup.
