1. Jet Set Radioooo!

The Dreamcast classic in HD. I’m buying this day 1.

  2. Sadly it’s not BG&E 2, but an HD rerelease of the 2003 original (For Xbox, PS2, GameCube, and PCWatch the trailer).

It could be in anticipation of a major announcement about the sequel that was originally teased in 2008 and has since been rumored canceled on and off for the past year or two because of a total media blackout. This footage leaked back around E3 2009 and was never shown officially.

“BG&E” is often called a “Zelda clone that is better than Zelda”. I’m sure Zelda fanboys would disagree, but it’s one of the great games that you just shouldn’t miss-out on. Thankfully this already beautiful game is being rereleased in HD for download on Xbox Live and PSN sometime in 2011 so you can check it out if you missed it the first time.

Hopefully a new HD trailer will be out soon, I’ll be sure to post it.

  3. PS3 Trophy’s are finally embeddable. They still don’t have the bragging rights that Xbox gamer score does.

    Get your Portable ID!

  4. New Katamari Forever (PS3) trailer is insane, and very Japanese. Can’t wait to buy this game.

  5. Final Fantasy VII is now available on the Playstation Network for the PS3 and PSP for $9.99

Final Fantasy VII is now available for download on Japanese PSN to be played on your PS3 and PSP. No word on if it’s also in English or not. [via Kotaku.com: Full Story]

I’d buy it again to be able to play it on my PSP.

  7. PS3 background downloads

Are a joke… Apparently you can’t be watching a DVD or BluRay while downloading; it just pauses the download. It also appears that playing most games slows downloads to a crawl.
PSN downloads are slow enough at the best of times, it’s just lame that the PS3 can’t handle “background downloads”…

  8. PSN download speeds

It took around 2:30 hours for WipeOut HD (1GB) to download on my 5Mbps connection last night. On top of that my PS3 didn’t download in the background while I was watching a DVD with my girlfriend. It didn’t technically start downloading until around 8 pm, as a result it didn’t finish until around 10:40 pm. I figure that would be around 400 MB an hour, or a pathetic 6MB a minute…

This left me with only 30 minutes to play WipeOut HD before I had to go to bed because of work today.

I don’t think I’m imagining things when I say that Xbox Live games downloads go almost twice as fast, if not faster..

I plan to check on my AirPort router configuration again today to make sure the slow speeds aren’t caused by my network… I hope it’s on my end because the speeds I’ve been getting are pathetic.

  9. I found this while looking on Google for suggested WipeOut custom soundtrack songs. It’s a free MP3 album available for download. It sounds quite good from what I’ve previewed so far.

  10. I’m highly excited for WipeOut HD tomorrow ($20 on PSN). I was going to wait until tomorrow to blog about it, but it’s been a slow blog day and it’ll be tomorrow night at the soonest I’ll be able to blog any impressions. I’ll also be taking my own screenshots. Here’s a cool video preview from a few months ago.

  11. OMG! The torrent of great games starts this month. WipEout HD will be $20 for download on PSN in just over a week. I was a big fan of the first PSP version; WipEout Pure so I’m really excited for this. [Via PS3Fanboy]
