1. The Halo Reach beta ends today while I’m at work… It was fun while it lasted. Can’t wait for the full game this fall. See all of my Halo Reach screenshots on Bungie.net.

Now I’ve got to finish Borderlands with my friends and Assassins Creed II solo.

  2. Get some time in today! I’ll be on tonight, gamer tag: NetworkShadow.

  3. OMG a friend hooked me up with a Starcraft 2 beta key.

  4. Some of my Halo Reach beta screenshots. All featuring me doing cool stuff.

  5. I can get behind most of these. Nothing major really.

  6. The Halo Reach Beta is Awesome

(When it works) An overall great experience besides the servers being slammed last night. My friends and I were only able to play a few good matches before we could no-longer connect to Matchmaking. It’s about what I expected from the first day of the open beta though.

Hopefully the servers are more stable tonight. I was just getting warmed-up when I gave-up on finding a match. I also hope they add the 2 larger maps soon, last night there was only the 2x 8-player maps open (of the 4 total beta maps).

It didn’t take long to get used to the new slightly tweaked controls. Getting into the habit of using the armor abilities took a bit longer, but is a great addition. Learning the maps and getting a feel for the new gameplay was holding me back a bit compared to my usual Halo 3 skill (I’m no pro mind you).

  7. Steam for Mac beta set for May 12

The Steam for Mac public beta was originally expected by the end of April, but at least May 12 is still soon. Valve has proven many times to be more interested in quality than speed. [via Joystiq]

There’s no word yet on if any 3rd party publishers will be releasing Mac games on Steam from the start, but we can expect most if not all of Valve’s games using the source engine to support Macs.

  8. Mostly stuff that you’ll already know if you’ve been paying any attention to the upcoming beta on May 3rd.

  9. 1Password for Windows Beta is now available

    agilews:

If you are a 1Password user who also works with Windows have I got some good news for you!

I’m happy to announce the first public beta of 1Password for Windows!

1Password for Windows is available in the Windows forum.

Yay time to uninstall LastPass (it sucks).

  10. First screenshots of the Mac version of Steam. (via macstories.net)

While I have a good PC gaming rig in addition to my MacBook Pro, I’m still excited by the prospects of Macs finally being treated as gaming machines too by a top software developer/publisher. I would have been far less likely to build a gaming PC last year if Steam was already on the Mac.

  11. First Halo Reach Multiplayer Beta Gameplay info/video.

Looks like great fun; nice tweaks to gameplay while keeping it very “Halo” at it’s core.

  12. My extra Blur beta codes

For registering and playing the Blur beta (on Xbox 360) I was sent some more beta codes to share with friends. All of my friends who are interested already have beta codes, so I’m going to share the beta codes here.

Please comment (comments) if you use one of the codes so I can mark them as used.
