Hello. I'm Nathaniel Daught, (28) a graphic designer, artist, Mac geek, and gamer. These are my ramblings, photos, links, and art because I sometimes have too much time on my hands... One would assume that you also have too much time on your hands because you are reading this blog. Enjoy.

Update to my latest digital painting: I’ve added a new dark version of the iPhone wallpaper. Make sure you checkout the full version too if you haven’t yet.
“From the Darkness” - Painted in Brushes (iPhone), SketchBook Pro (Mac), and Photoshop.
“Hoodie” my latest iPhone painting.
Done on my iPhone 4 using Brushes and a SGP Stylus. Also uploaded on Flickr & Deviantart.
This is my first attempt at using my new SGP Stylus. Most of my past iPhone paintings are done with just my fingers.
Also getting back into iPhone painting after a long break.
I’ve ordered an SGP Stylus Pen (Kuel H10 Series) for my iPhone. Hopefully it’ll rekindle my interest in painting on the go. I’ve tested a similar stylus and found the tip to be a huge improvement over the first few iPhone compatible stylus brands that used a foam tip.
Expect impressions and hopefully a new painting soon.
Rough iPhone painting “In The Dark”
It’s been sitting on my iPhone unfinished for a while so I put some more work into it and I’m calling it finished now.
This is crazy cool looking! It’s a free online app you use in your browser. It even works on iPad, and to an extent on iPhone (can’t zoom). You can also purchase access to more advanced brushes and tools, but all the important basics are free.
It supports layers, opacity, filters, and even WACOM tablets. Beta testers have already done some impressive work with it and I’m sure there’ll be a huge rush of new paintings now that it’s public.
I’ll have to play around with it and see if I can do anything cool. The only downside I see is that the canvas is limited to 900px × 446px.
Done on my iPhone using Brushes (as usual). It’s no David Lanham Portrait, but it’s my attempt at something similar (let’s say inspired).
I thought it’d be a relatively simple exercise to get back into illustrating more creative things like robots.
A Gift - Desktop Wallpaper version of my latest iPhone painting. Download via my art gallery.
Enjoy!
“A Gift” - Done on my iPhone using Brushes. I doodled this concept at least a month ago, but finally got really working on it this week. View in my art gallery.
Download for iPhone wallpaper.
I may also play with the concept of making this into a full size desktop wallpaper.
Robot in Teddy’s Skin - My latest finished Brushes (on iPhone) painting.
It’s been 90% finished since as far back as Nov, so I figured I’d put a few finishing touches on it today and get it up on my blog and site.
It’s slightly Invader Zim inspired with the robot in a plush animal suit.
Sander Cohen Mask Painting (also on DeviantArt)
Yet another Brushes for iPhone painting. A mask featured in the game BioShock. It must be halloween being around the corner that’s making me think of masks and BioShock.
